Intel Bought A Wearable Fitness Band Company For A Reported $100 Million

Intel just announced that it has completed its acquisition of Basis Science. It didn't disclose the financials behind the deal, but according to TechCrunch , Intel paid about $100 million. Basis Science is the creator behind the Basis B1 fitness band, a wristband that's capable of capturing heart rate patterns, sleep my website stages, motion, and burned calories, among other stats. Intel says the acquisition is part of an effort to expand its expertise in the wearable device category. Rather than workout branding products under its own name, Intel says it plans to create wearable reference designs, chipsets, and other technology to be used by its customers in the development of wearable gadgets. At CES 2014, Intel showcased a few wearable reference designs, including a pair of smart earbuds that can urge its wearer to keep exercising along with a smartwatch prototype. Intel expressed interest in the wearable display category as well when it invested in Recon Instruments, creator of the Jet sports-oriented official site smart eyewear, in September of last year.

The Ballet Workout: Dubai?s Physique 57

Id long been a fan of Pilates and yoga classes and still continued to dance a bit here and there, other but was looking for something that merged all of my fitness interests. The workout took place in a room with carpeted floors this link and wooden barres aligning each wall. We were told to wear socks and comfortable fitness clothing. The 57-minute workout out began with a series of light weight exercises to sculpt and tone coupled with cardiovascular moves. The instructor, a peppy American woman who clearly had a dance background, then had us go to the barre where we proceeded with exercises to sculpt our thighs, abs, legs and arms. These were offset with a few stretching postures in between as a cool-down before getting back into the strenuous groove of the class. Colby Chaput's efforts culminated in her competing at the Ms. Fitness bodybuilding competition in San Antonio this past October. "Since I can remember, I have been a gymnast, but while at the Air Force Academy I blew out workouts my knee," Chaput said. "So this has been my alternate means of competing." To compete at the Ms. Fitness competition, which required Chaput to perform a series of fitness routines. Chaput had to prepare herself for view training and turned to Laughlin's Losano Fitness Center for support.
